1. Simplified Chinese Characters and Traditional Chinese Characters: Coexistence Why does China use simplified Chinese characters to represent traditional Chinese characters? Two words, literacy. In the last century, when New China was just founded, it was in ruins. However, the rulers soon discovered a serious problem, that is, the writing of traditional Chinese characters was too troublesome, resulting in 60% or even 70% illiteracy in the country. In order to solve this historical problem, the method of simplifying Chinese characters is adopted.

This method is really effective. Up to now, the illiteracy rate in China is only 8%, which is a miracle in a big country with a population of1300 million.

In addition, traditional Chinese characters are superior to simplified Chinese characters in many aspects, such as beauty and ideographic. Even if we don't know some traditional Chinese characters, we can guess the meaning of this word. But it is impossible to replace simplified Chinese characters with traditional Chinese characters now. Even if you pay a huge learning cost, there is no guarantee that everyone can accept traditional Chinese characters. Therefore, the best way is to coexist simplified and traditional. Originally, the two are not conflicting things, but interdependent and complementary.

Second, Hanfu: Restrict the restoration of Hanfu, like traditional Chinese characters, is an excellent traditional culture in China. Personally, it is of course necessary to restore Hanfu, because it is also conducive to carrying forward our national spirit. Of course, the recovery of Hanfu does not mean that we should abandon the colorful clothes now, just wear Hanfu.

China is a multi-ethnic country. You can't force the other 55 ethnic groups to wear Hanfu, can you? Therefore, Hanfu can be restored, but it should be restored conditionally, such as wearing it on traditional festivals in China, such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Shangyuan Festival. This not only sets off the festive atmosphere, but also shows the national culture.
