What is a Container Cloud

Container clouds are a cloud delivery model at the PaaS level. Container clouds can be deployed in two ways: one is to deploy containers on virtual machines (in many traditional enterprises, containers are deployed on virtual machines); the other approach is to deploy containers directly on bare-metal servers. The reason for deploying containers to VMs is that they require the isolation and security features of VMs.

In fact, it is not necessary to use a virtual machine to achieve the same results, or as the technology evolves, it is possible that these issues can be solved in containers. In the future, applications that can run on VMs can run into containers, so container clouds will replace traditional IaaS. however, this is still a relatively distant thing for most organizations. For now, the most important thing is to take full advantage of container technology in the context of your actual needs.

Whether it's a combination of virtual machines and containers, or containers deployed directly on bare metal servers, container technology has value and significance as long as it creates business value for the enterprise.
