What are ice grapes?

Ice grapes will also be used to brew ice wine, because their growth conditions are harsh, so the output is relatively low, which in turn affects the price of ice wine. So the ice wine we see is expensive, but the quality and taste are really unreasonable. Not much to say, let's learn about the charm of ice grapes now.

Ice grapes are fully mature in autumn, and they need to be naturally dehydrated and air-dried when the outdoor temperature reaches below -8℃. Grapes can't be turned into ice grapes in spring, summer and autumn. Even in winter, not all grapes can be called ice grapes. Only those grapes whose natural outdoor temperature is lower than -8℃ for a period of time in cold winter, the water content of grapes decreases, the sugar concentration increases, and the original physical form of grapes changes obviously, can be called ice grapes.

Ice grape is not the name of grape, but refers to the natural relationship between grape and nature. Nature has four distinct seasons. The temperature change and climate environment at the turn of autumn and winter determine whether grapes can withstand the most difficult test, and whether there is a long period of low temperature in winter determines whether grapes can be successfully transformed into ice grapes. At the same time, even if nature is perfect enough to provide all the necessary conditions for the formation of high-quality ice grapes, such as slow temperature rise in spring, moderate rain in summer, abundant sunshine in autumn, long cold winter and huge temperature difference between day and night throughout the year, it is impossible for all grapes to become ice grapes, which depends on the characteristics of grape varieties themselves, such as the need for more cold tolerance, higher sugar content, thicker skin and more developed roots. Only such vines and grape fruits can bear it.
