Is there anything particular about choosing brackets when correcting teeth?

Hello. Orthodontic brackets can be roughly divided into the following categories:

1.

Ordinary traditional steel wire support:

There are domestic and imported brackets. Domestic stents are bigger than imported stents, and the workmanship is relatively poor, but the price is cheap. Relatively speaking, imported ones will be more comfortable than domestic ones. However, this traditional bracket needs to be fixed with small steel wires on each bracket, so sometimes these small steel wires are easy to damage the oral mucosa of patients and cause ulcers.

2.

Ceramic bracket:

Ceramic brackets and teeth are very close in color, so sometimes they can't be seen, but the bonding effect of ceramic brackets is not as good as that of steel brackets, so brackets sometimes fall off easily.

3.

Self-locking bracket:

Self-locking brackets are smaller than traditional and ceramic brackets, and do not need small steel wires to hold them, so they are comfortable, fast to move and lightly stressed, and patients generally do not feel so painful. This is my personal favorite bracket. Of course, self-locking is also divided into imported and domestic, ceramics and steel.

4.

Lingual bracket:

Lingual brackets, that is, brackets are stuck to the lingual side and cannot be seen from the outside. However, at present, there are few doctors who make lingual brackets, and patients should still feel that the comfort is not so good, which is more troublesome for doctors, so there are not many people who do it. If you really want to learn a language, you must find a doctor with many language patients.

5.

Invisible correction:

Invisible orthodontics is also called bracketless invisible orthodontics. There are no brackets and steel wires. It is a transparent material that completely fits the teeth. Patients can wear them themselves and change their braces once every two weeks. Comfortable and beautiful. This kind of invisible braces is also made in China and imported. At present, only a few cities in China have certified doctors. General stomatological hospitals in China have to do it. Invisible orthodontics in China is relatively limited, and it is impossible to do more complicated and tooth extraction cases.

Here's to health.
