Percussion Activity: A Birdie

Percussion Activity: A Birdie

Design Intentions:

I read an article in the newspaper, "Don't Let Our Children Not Speak Southern Fujianese", and was y touched by the article, and thought that we should not forget our unique Southern Fujianese songs, and we should let the children sing them in elementary school to cultivate the feelings of love for the country and patriotism. During the activity, we found that the children were very interested in the lively, humorous and witty style of Minnan songs, and they were very receptive to it. This is combined with the class's teaching and research project, "guiding children to discover musical instruments in life", so that children can enjoy the songs while playing musical instruments for these beautiful Minnan songs, such as: "A Birdie", "Selling Soup Dumplings", and "Wine Dry If Sold Without".

Activity objectives:

1, familiar with the melody of the song, feel the style of southern Fujian songs, preliminary learning to use percussion instruments to play along with the music.

2. Learning to match the corresponding body movements and musical instruments for the movements of birds' calls and birds' flights; learning to watch the conductor to play.

Second, activity preparation:

1, tambourine, small bell, round dance board, bird pictures (12 each of bird call and bird fly).

2. Make up your own story according to the content of the song.

Three, the process of activities:

1, the teacher told the story "a birdie" in Minnan language, so that children can understand the content of the song.

2, please enjoy the teacher to sing the song "A Birdie", feel and understand the style of southern Fujian songs.

4. Enjoy the song and create body movements.

Guide the children to use their body movements to express the rhythm of bird calls and bird flight.

5. Look at the teacher's command and play with body movements in parts.

6. Let the children discuss the orchestration scheme.

7. Look at the teacher's command to play with instruments.

8. Swap instruments and watch the conductor play.
