Today's common types of stone is divided into four categories: sedimentary rock, metamorphic rock, igneous rock and artificial stone. Many small holes are formed by the flow of water through the stone, and these are commonly filled with synthetic resins or cement, which would otherwise require a great deal of maintenance work. It is a limestone and marble.

Two, metamorphic rocks Metamorphic rocks are naturally metamorphosed from one type of stone to another under high temperature and pressure and a mixture of minerals. Metamorphism may be recrystallization, textural changes or color changes.

2. Slate:

Metamorphic rock formed from claystone, sedimentary shale (and sometimes quartzite), with microscopically fine mineral grains that are thin and friable, and usually black, gray or green.

3. Serpentine

Named for its pattern that resembles a snake's skin, the most common colors are green and brown. It has a hardness of 2.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale. Contains large amounts of magnesium and is derived from igneous rocks. Recrystallization and diamond polishing are sometimes poor.

III. Igneous rocks

Igneous rocks are formed mainly from volcanic material, such as magma. Liquid magma below the surface cools and solidifies. Mineral gases and liquids seep into the rock and form new crystals and a variety of colors.

Granite:

Formed primarily of quartz (35%), feldspar (45%), and potassium, it is generally dark in color. Calcite contains very little if any. The texture is very hard and easier to maintain than marble, but it still has small holes and can stain. Granite is divided into different types according to the ratio of the mixture of quartz, mica and feldspar. Black granite, or calcium feldspar, contains very little quartz and feldspar, and its composition is different from that of true granite.

Four, artificial stone
