Color mixing of peony brush painting
The front side of the leaf is usually green, firstly use floral green to separate the color, and then overpaint grass green (floral green + Teng Huang).
The reverse leaf is usually painted with light grass green, and if it is to be yellow, add more Teng Huang. Then from the tip of the leaf down to cover the four green.
White peonies are first painted with white powder, and then gray grass green with green and a little ochre is used to dye the layers of the flowers, until a sense of wholeness is achieved. After the color is sufficient, the white powder is lifted again.
Yellow butterfly: use ink to dye the black spots and other black parts/paint ochre yellow.
(I'm also learning brush painting, there are step-by-step diagrams of peony in my space, hope it can help you. ^_^)
