Molecular weight cut-off and pore size of ceramic membrane
First, there is a corresponding table! It is especially suitable for process design, calculation and selection in small-scale and pilot-scale stage before large-scale production. But this is a theoretical value, and usually ceramic membrane process equipment manufacturers have to test according to the material situation. Taking Bo Industrial Inorganic Ceramic Membrane as an example, the relationship between pore size and molecular weight is shown in the following table for your reference:
Secondly, not all ceramic membranes have corresponding cut-off molecular weights. The membrane with small pore size has corresponding molecular weight, but for the ceramic membrane with large pore size, there is no corresponding molecular weight cut-off data because there is no organic standard sample of the same level (it is difficult to find the organic matter with large molecular weight), such as the ceramic membrane with more than 20nm, which is basically determined by the bubble pressure experiment of the membrane tube. However, a small pore size ceramic membrane of 20nm or less will have more accurate data for determining the molecular weight cutoff value.
