Definition of an adenocyte :
Cells that perform this specialized function are called adenocytes: they secrete locally, parietally, and holoplasmatically. In the case of localized secretion, the cell membrane is not ruptured, but the secretion is transported by exocytosis without any significant loss of cytoplasmic components or plasma membrane
