The main content of farmers' consciousness

China has been a big agricultural country for thousands of years. While praising the essence of farmers' consciousness, we should also see its dross. (1) A small fortune means security. For farmers, losing land means losing livelihood security. Whether the land problem is solved well or not has a very important impact on social stability. On the one hand, relocation is not conducive to liberating productive forces, and the household contract responsibility system is not conducive to using large machinery to improve labor productivity.

② Family consanguinity consciousness of village community. The consanguinity linked by family plays an important role in rural areas. This production and lifestyle that has lasted for thousands of years has made farmers' self-sufficiency deeply rooted. Under the control of this idea, the highest living goal of farmers is the level of food and clothing. After the reform and opening up, the rapid development of rural economy and the attraction and guidance of the well-off living standard policy have made the self-sufficient production, lifestyle and concept face severe challenges. However, the dilution and disappearance of this consciousness will be accompanied by the atrophy and disintegration of this production and lifestyle, and even lag behind for a period of time.
