What do you think of cheongsam?

Many people think that cheongsam has something to do with Manchu, which is a misunderstanding. Cheongsam was invented by an old tailor of Han nationality in Shanghai in 1924 according to the characteristics of western women's riding clothes. It absorbed some factors of Hanfu round neck and robe, and was originally called Hanfu, also known as riding robe. Later generations mistakenly called it cheongsam, because the pronunciation is the same, which has nothing to do with Manchu, and belongs to the costume of the Republic of China.
