How to realize Win 10+Kali2.0 dual boot with rEFind under UEFI+GPT?

I. Installation of Win 10 and Kali2.0:

1.Win 10 installation and activation:

The installation of Win 10 will not be described here.

2.Kali2.0 installation:

A. Download kaili2.0

B. Then I wrote the ISO of kali2.0 into a USB flash drive by using UltraISO's function of writing hard disk images.

C. Insert the completed startup USB flash drive and adjust the startup preference to USB. Different computers will have different modification methods. Please Baidu yourself.

D. There is no difference in installation steps, except that when installing GRUB, we must stop and then skip GRUB boot installation.

E. Wait for the installation to be completed, and then restart to enter the Windows system.

Second, the installation of rEFind and the realization of dual boot:

The biggest feature of this part is that you can complete the installation of rEFind and the realization of dual boot directly under Win without entering the PE system.

The screenshot is as follows

One * * * four tools (UltraISO is used in the last step, but actually only three other tools are used in this step);

Said a lot of nonsense, now get to the point:

Installation of 1.rEFind:

First open DiskGenius, then find the ESP partition, which is our EFi boot partition, and right-click and select "Assign a new drive letter".

Then, you can choose any one.

I chose z:

Then make sure the homework is successful!

Then continue to enter ESP, open EFI folder,

Then right-click the blank area and create a new file named rEFind!

Double-click to enter the rEFind folder, and we will start moving files!

Unzip refind.zip

Create a file and write a file similar to refind.conf-sample, named refind.conf.

It doesn't matter if you can't write, you can also build an empty file, but you must have refind.conf, otherwise you will report an error when you start it, for the sake of beauty.

Put the files in one by one,

Note: Due to the limitation of software functions, you can only create folders manually, but you can move files in one directory at a time.

The screenshot is as follows:

Note that the files in the folder should also be moved in!

It's time to use another tool called BOOTICE.

After decompression, you will find two files, one is a 64-bit version and the other is a 32-bit version. I am 64-bit, so I choose BOOTICEx64.exe and open the software interface:

We choose UEFI:

Select to modify the startup sequence:

Click Add:

Enter the path directly here:

Of course, it also depends on the drive letter you assigned at the beginning. I assigned z before, so it is z: \ EFI \ redind;

And then because I'm 64, I choose,

Then click Open:

After the prompt is successful,

Modify menu title:

I changed it to rEFind, click move up,

Reach the top:

Click Save Current Boot Settings,

Then click Close.

Restart your computer,
