Introduction to IP Man
Ip Man (1 893101October19721February1), a native of Sangyuan, Nanhai County, Guangdong Province, is a local gentleman studying in St. Stephen's, Hong Kong. Wing Chun is the founder of Wing Chun boxing system after Chen Huashun and Liang Bi.
Ip Man began to teach Cantonese Wing Chun in Hong Kong in 1950s. His disciple Liang Ting spread Wing Chun internationally, and through the worldwide spread of his children, he formed a set of the most authoritative practical training courses of China traditional martial arts "Wing Chun", which is world-renowned and now spreads in the Wing Chun era.
Ip Man is a master of Wing Chun Boxing and even China Wushu. Among his disciples are "The Epiphany", Liang Ting, a disciple of Fengmen, and Bruce Lee, who made China's martial arts famous all over the world.
The life of the character
1900 (the 26th year of Guangxu), IP Man entered Chen Huashun. 1906 (thirty-two years of Guangxu), the master specially instructed his eldest disciple Wu to take good care of him and help him complete his Wing Chun studies. As a result, Ye Wen transferred to the Wu Boxing Hall in Xiangxiang Street, Foshan Market Line for further study.
1908 (in the thirty-fourth year of Guangxu), IP Man was sponsored by his in-laws Pang Weiting to study in Hong Kong and enrolled in St. Stephen's College, a prestigious school in Stanley. Introduced by classmates, I got to know Liang Bi, the second son of Liang Zan, and studied Wing Chun with him for nearly four years. His martial arts advanced by leaps and bounds, so Liang Bi taught Ip Man all his father's peerless martial arts.
During the twenty-five years from 1924 (13th year of the Republic of China) to 1949, Ye Wen was engaged in military and police boxing teaching and private boxing teaching in Foshan, and often communicated with people from all walks of life.
