What material is the rotating end face of mechanical seal?

Commonly used are graphite, sic, cemented carbide, and of course there are different brands. The commonly used brands of graphite are M 106K and M 106D, sic has pressureless and reactive sintering, and cemented carbides are YG6, YG8 and YWN8. If the rotating speed of the pump is high and the shaft diameter is large, the rotating end is generally designed as a light and soft material (relative to the surface retaining ring).
