Difference between lcd screen and led screen

The differences between LCD screen and led screen are: different backlight, energy efficiency, thinness, viewing angle and cost.

1. Different backlight sources

The p>LCD screen uses cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) as the backlight source, while the LED screen uses light emitting diode (LED) to provide backlight. This means that LED screen is better than LCD screen in color saturation, contrast and brightness.

2. Energy efficiency

As the LED screen is used as the backlight, the LED screen is more energy-saving than the LCD screen. In fact, the energy consumption of LED screens is usually about 3% lower than that of LCD screens, which is very important for users who need to use computers for a long time.

3. Thinness

Because the bead size of LED screen is smaller, it can make a thinner and lighter screen. This also makes the LED screen more suitable for notebook computers, tablets and other portable devices.

4. Viewing angle

In terms of viewing angle, the LED screen has a wider viewing angle, which means that no matter which angle you look at the screen, the image will remain clear. However, the viewing angle of LCD screen is narrow, and the color may be darkened or distorted when viewed from some angles.

5. Cost

Although LED screens have many advantages, their manufacturing costs are relatively high. Therefore, the price of LED screen is generally higher than that of LCD screen of the same size.
