How to make jadeite grow old

1. Barbecue jade pieces with fire to make them white, such as chicken bones in ancient jade. Jade made by this method is called "fake lime ancient" by Wang Xinyao. Compared with the real lime, it has fine cracks, but it really doesn't.

2. Cut off the live leg of lamb, implant a small piece of jade, sew it with thread, and take it out a few years later. There are bloody fine lines on the jade, just like HongLing on the old jade passed down from generation to generation, pretending to be the ancient jade passed down from generation to generation. The old jade made in this way is called "sheep chalcedony". Compared with the truth handed down from ancient times, "sheep jade" is dry and "not as gentle as truth"

Kill the dog, use the dog's blood, put the jade in its belly, sew it up and bury it in the ground. When taken out several years later, the jade surface will produce soil flowers and blood spots, which is called "dog jade". This kind of jade often bears the color of new jade and traces of carving.

4. Make objects with nephrite (stone jade or jade skin) and cook them in ebony water. After a long time, nephrite was searched by ebony water, and then colored by oil extraction, posing as "Shuitanggu" and called "Meiyu". The bright color of this jade is unnatural.

5. Boil the jade with thick grey water and dark plum water, take it out by heating, and freeze it in the snow. Then the jade line is frozen and cracked, and the crack is as thin as a hair, which is used to pretend to be a cow hair pattern in ancient jade. This kind of jade is called Yu Feng.

6. There is also mixing jade and iron filings, then quenching them with hot vinegar, burying them in the ground ten days later and taking them out a few months later. After burial, jade was corroded by iron filings, and orange peel lines appeared. The rust in the lines is dark red with soil spots, just like ancient jade. This old-fashioned method was handed down from Akou, Qianlong, Wuxi, so it is also called "knocking rust".

7. Use the method of "lifting" to color, so that the color penetrates into the jade, and the gray does not retreat, which is the same as the true color, except that the color is brighter on cloudy days and darker on sunny days.
