Thoughts on Reading Confucius
By the time Confucius was 30 years old, he had more than 3000 students. However, he still thinks that his knowledge is not deep enough. Confucius said, "I can't be holy, I never tire of learning, and I never tire of teaching." Those who have knowledge and those who don't know will worship him as a teacher. Therefore, he said, "In a threesome, there must be a teacher." He never tires of learning and never tires of teaching. There are people who are angry and forget to eat, people who are happy and forget their worries, people who are happy and poor, and people who walk straight!
Confucius' works Spring and Autumn Annals and The Analects of Confucius. Among them, the language of The Analects is concise and profound, and it is still regarded as the most reasonable by the world. Confucius is also the founder of Confucianism, which is a good medicine for the world in today's society. Especially in resisting western individualism and emphasizing social consciousness, thrift, tolerance and frugality, it can be affirmed that Confucianism is a new modern way.
Confucius' studious spirit is worth learning. He said, "There is no end to learning. It is never too old to learn." As long as we can study as hard as Confucius, we can also become a scholar worthy of respect. Confucius' eagerness to learn is worth learning, and his character is even more worth learning. He is polite to others and never shows off his knowledge in front of others so that others can worship him.
Time flies after reading Confucius. In a blink of an eye, more than half of March has passed. As the ancients said, if you like the love words of your loved ones, you can play the piano to eliminate your worries. I have experienced the former, but I don't know piano and calligraphy at all, so I enriched this time with reading. During this time, I read the book Confucius. Although it is only rough, it has benefited me a lot. I believe this is why the ancients said that opening books is beneficial. Let me briefly introduce my experience.
China's main thoughts in ancient times can be roughly divided into Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Buddhism rose in Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, so the thoughts of Confucianism and Taoism really have the characteristics of ancient China. The wisdom of the ancient people in China is the soul of China's traditional ideology and culture. The main representatives of Confucianism are Confucius and Mencius; The main representatives of Taoism are Lao Zi and Zhuangzi. The book Confucius is mainly a work about Confucianism.
The book Confucius talks about the concept of benevolence, the meaning of filial piety, the function of courtesy, Confucius' political thought and the political reality at that time. I'm just talking about different things that Confucius should do for people of different ages and the division of different mentality. Of course, the book Confucius is extensive and profound, and there are only a thousand words to say, so I only choose some of them to tell.
Because I read it in a hurry and the classical Chinese is concise and profound, my understanding of Confucius is not profound, but I believe I will understand it better after reading it many times.
Confucius was born in Lu in the middle and late Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period. Confucius was originally an ordinary man, and his fame at home and abroad was entirely due to his thirst for knowledge and his unremitting efforts and pursuit of learning. When Confucius was three years old, his father died, and his mother took the young Confucius to Qufu, the capital of Lu, to make a living by helping relatives and friends and doing odd jobs for others. Confucius was a great thinker in ancient China. He had a great influence on China and the world.
Confucius went out to work early to earn money to support his family. Confucius studied while working. He not only studied the classics of past dynasties, but also drew lessons from historical experience. He also studied historical celebrities, learned their deeds and learned their experiences and lessons. He worships Duke Zhou. Children give birth. Guan zhong and others, and take them as role models to learn the way of governing the country and being a man.
Confucius first began to be lectured by his disciples, probably at the age of 27. At that time, his students were not many, all civilians and gentry's children who wanted to get ahead. When they saw some rulers ask him what he didn't understand, they respected him. Then I went to study in front of his house. Confucius teaching broke the original hierarchical system and taught knowledge to all those who like to learn. Confucius has no other requirements for his students, and all adults who like to learn, regardless of age. Pity. Nationality and other conditions can be put into his study, which is called "teaching without distinction".
Confucius also made an incredible move, that is, traveling around the world, and encountered many difficulties on the way around the world, but neither Confucius nor his disciples gave in. Of course, he became a great official many times on the way, but in the end Confucius continued to travel around the world.
There is no end to learning. Isn't man living to learn? Just like Confucius, learning is his own, and fame and fortune are all floating clouds.
After reading Confucius, I have a deeper understanding of Confucius, which makes me think back. The feudal rulers of past dynasties "always transformed Confucius and made it the spiritual pillar to maintain the order of ethics." "Make him up with various powders." There are also descendants of corrupt scholars who spread dark clouds in Confucius' sky. This can't be blamed on Confucius. It is these objects that should be attacked, not Confucius himself. Of course, a saint can't be restricted by the times and classes, and can't demand that every sentence in The Analects of Confucius is completely correct. There used to be a class analysis that attributed Confucius to slave owners. Love is the slave owner class, so Confucius is useless. This is really a lesson. Academics can be explored anyway, but we should respect science.
The other is about traditional culture and absorbing foreign culture. As we all know, keeping a critical eye, not taking nationalism and Europeanization, modernization does not mean Europeanization. The so-called loess culture is not necessarily backward, and the blue ocean culture is not necessarily advanced. We should analyze it scientifically, take its essence and discard its dross. Confucianism occupies an important position in traditional culture. It has great influence at home and abroad, and has its potential and vitality. Facts have proved that it cannot be easily defeated. We need to pay attention to it. We can't abandon the modernization of traditional culture, nor can we stick to the traditional culture that rejects modernization.
To build and develop a new socialist culture, we must inherit and transform traditional culture. On this basis and standpoint, we should absorb and digest foreign excellent culture organically and harmoniously, and carry forward the cultural subjectivity with China characteristics.
