Boxing is an Olympic sport. Why can't Wushu compete?

First, strongly oppose and condemn "atlasboxing". Please don't comment on the quintessence of Chinese culture, for example, "In sports schools, the children with the best physical fitness practice gymnastics, which requires the highest physical fitness, so the athletes eliminated from gymnastics will practice aerobics and the athletes with the worst physical fitness will practice martial arts". Although few people can really understand Wushu routine competition, many people think that it is only ornamental and does not require high physical quality, but Wushu requires extremely high personal understanding, and people without talent will never learn it. In other words, it is impossible for a person with developed limbs and simple mind to understand martial arts. In fact, Wushu routines are not only ornamental, but also offensive and defensive. However, the premise is that the audience must have more than five years of professional traditional martial arts practice time (another plan for the martial arts school to waste youth and cheat money), and must have certain martial arts talent and be able to see the usage of each move from the routine. It's a pity that such people are rare in China and even the whole world, and even officials who specialize in martial arts in the Sports Bureau may not be able to understand them.

Second, Wushu is used for life and death, not for competition. To push Wushu into the arena, we must re-implement the "life and death" system, which is opposed by humanitarianism in today's world, otherwise its form will only be routine competition. The cruelty and blood of the real martial arts competition are unexpected to us. If the "life and death" system is put into the arena, then the tragedy of the Colosseum in ancient Rome will inevitably repeat itself.

Thirdly, many people in the world, including many people in China, don't believe in the actual combat of Wushu. Especially when modern gunpowder weapons are widely used, it is inevitable that Wushu will be despised. With the touting and deification of modern mass media such as film and television, Wushu has become more and more illusory, and it is difficult to convince people except personal experience. If you feel it yourself, you will be at risk of injury. How many people will be willing?

Fourth, the Olympic Games has no experience in hosting martial arts competitions, and there is no authoritative jury. Since the first point has been said, few people in the world can understand martial arts, which means that almost no one can be a referee except China people. However, according to the Olympic Games, when a country's athletes compete, its referees should withdraw. With the referee gone, who will grade the China team?

To sum up, Wushu can only be temporarily used as an Olympic performance item, not as an informal competition item.
