Differences between international organizations and multilateral mechanisms

Different ways of member participation, different decision-making mechanisms, etc.

Different ways of member participation: international organizations are joined voluntarily by individual countries, and member states can become members of the organization by signing a treaty or agreement and enjoy corresponding rights and obligations. The multilateral mechanism, on the other hand, is a cooperation mechanism involving a certain number of countries*** with the same participation, and the degree of participation among member countries can be different, either fully or partially.

Different decision-making mechanisms: international organizations usually have a decision-making body, and member states make decisions through voting or consultation. Whereas multilateral mechanisms usually take the form of consensus or majority decision-making, whereby member states reach a ****sense through consultation among themselves.
