What are the characteristics of the sculpture techniques of the lost head sitting statue collected by Shaanxi Provincial Museum?
Shaanxi Provincial Museum also has a decapitated sitting statue. As for the origin and use of this sitting figurine, it is only known that it was unearthed from the Tang tomb in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, and it is difficult to identify whether it is a tomb figurine. From the point of view of artistic appreciation, the simple and lively carving technique of this statue seems to be a sketch of a great sculptor. The extremely skillful and confident knife technique and the application of modelling technique are commendable. This small sculpture (about 6 cm high) without the main head is actually a representative sculpture masterpiece of the Tang Dynasty.
