What are the types of criminal offenses

The types of penalties for criminal offenses are as follows: the main sentence includes control, detention, life imprisonment, life imprisonment, and the death penalty, and the additional sentence includes fines, confiscation of property, deprivation of political rights, and expulsion from the country (limited to foreigners). In the case of a single offense, only one main penalty can be imposed and not more than one, while additional penalties can be imposed and can be applied independently.

Article 32 of the Criminal Law divides penalties into main penalties and additional penalties. The types of main penalties in Article 33 are as follows: (1) control; (2) detention; (3) life imprisonment; (4) life imprisonment; and (5) death penalty. The types of additional penalties in Article 34 are as follows: (1) fines; (2) deprivation of political rights; and (3) confiscation of property. Additional penalties may also be applied independently. Article 35: For an alien who has committed a crime, expulsion from the country may be applied independently or additionally.
