Why is popcorn so popular with foreigners?

Foreigners think that popcorn is relatively healthy compared with potato chips, and the sales of popcorn abroad are often more than potato chips.

Market research experts attribute the popularity of popcorn to its relative health compared with potato chips. Analysts at Euromonitor International said that in the eyes of consumers, popcorn is "exploded in pure air rather than fried". Nowadays, popcorn is a low-calorie, high-fiber and gluten-free whole wheat food.

In order to meet the demand of discerning consumers for healthy food, popcorn is no longer a sweet and greasy snack eaten in special occasions such as cinemas or carnivals. There are two common forms of popcorn: microwave popcorn and RTE popcorn.
