Yang Zhishui's "From Children's Poems to Bai Zi's Clothes" in "A New Proof of Ancient Poems and Famous Things" and the map of Bai Zi from Tang and Song Dynasties to Ming and Qing Dynasties reproduce the life scenes full of childlike interest in ancient times. However, there are relatively few discussions about children's hair styles in baby play pictures. As far as hairstyles are concerned, most books only mention hairstyles such as "gelatin", "edge", "bun" and "total angle", and there are not many corresponding legends, and there is no specific morphological analysis and systematic classification.

When Shen Congwen described Song Li's Salesman Map in the Southern Song Dynasty in the Study of Ancient Chinese Costume, he mentioned "a child with hair" and "a little urchin with hair or horns, facing his face or shortening his coat".
