What's the emergency room for, huh?
Emergency room, also called emergency room. It is the department with the heaviest patients, the most diseases and the heaviest rescue management task in the hospital, and it is the only way for all emergency patients to be admitted to hospital. It is a department of general emergency hospital, which mainly receives patients seeking medical services. Compared with the appointment clinic, patients who use the emergency room have sudden needs, such as traffic accidents, strokes and premature delivery of pregnant women. With the development of emergency medicine, emergency room as a new independent department has been recognized by more and more medical colleagues and experts. Its importance has also been more widely and fully understood by society. It became a specialized subject because of two important factors: medical development and social needs. At present, many general hospitals and some specialized hospitals in large and medium-sized cities have set up emergency rooms, and are equipped with doctors, nurses and other medical personnel. According to 1986 China Health Yearbook (English version), there are 1 1497 hospitals at or above the county level in China that have set up emergency rooms and are equipped with qualified medical staff.
