River Love

Plot:

Before the Great War, a small town on the banks of the Trout River in Montana, USA, was home to a Presbyterian minister, Rev. Tom Skerritt, a Presbyterian minister, lives with his family. In addition to preaching for the townspeople, the McColleans loved to read and fly-fish in the beautiful Trout River. The McColleans had two boys, Norman, the oldest, who was steady and reserved, and Paul, the youngest, who was strong, stubborn, and wild. They learned the art of fishing from their father, but also learned what it means to be a man, and when World War I broke out in 1917, Norman (Craig Sheffer) joined the U.S. Forest Service, and Paul (Brad Pitt) worked as a pool lifeguard, the only thing that stayed the same was their love of fishing. Norman notices that his brother slowly stops fishing to the beat his dad taught him and invents his own rhythm, and he's undoubtedly a fishing genius.

In the fall of 1919, Norman went to school at Damons College, thousands of miles from home, for six years. At the college, he discovered that he was actually very good at teaching English literature and hatched the idea of becoming a professor. Paul went to college in his hometown and worked for the local newspaper after graduation.

In 1926, Norman returned home. Going fishing with his brother again, he realized he would never catch up with him. At a dance, Norman befriends the beautiful Jessie and the two soon fall in love. Paul, on the other hand, is addicted to gambling and is in debt, often getting into fights with people because of his debts and becoming a regular visitor to the police station. Norman receives an offer from the University of Chicago to be a professor of English Literature. Norman bravely proposes to Jessie. About to leave home, Norman, with his father and Paul again to the Tetra River fishing, Norman asked Paul to leave this place of wrongdoing and go with him to Chicago, Paul refused, he is a fishing artist, he does not want to leave Montana. Just the day before Norman left for Chicago, Paul was killed by an enemy.
