What is brown sugar made of?
Brown sugar refers to the finished sugar of sugar cane and honey, which is made by squeezing and concentrating sugar cane. According to the different crystal grains, brown sugar can be divided into chip sugar, brown sugar powder, bowl sugar and so on. Because it is not highly refined, it contains almost all the ingredients in sugarcane juice. Besides the function of sugar, it also contains vitamins and trace elements, such as iron, zinc, manganese and chromium. And the nutrients are much higher than sugar.
Brown sugar is a raw sugar made from sugarcane by lime method (using lime as clarifier [2]), which is made by squeezing juice, clarifying, boiling and refining. In the whole processing process, except lime, no chemical reagents and food additives are added, and the original flavor and nutritional components of sugarcane are completely preserved. Different from refined sugar such as white sugar and brown sugar, it is a kind of non-honey, that is, sugar made without too much honey treatment.
