What's the difference between digging a kite and playing it?

Digging and guzheng are made at different levels. There is no difference between digging a piano and a zither, because digging a piano is also a kind of zither, but it is made by the ancient whole digging process, and most of them are folding pianos on the market now.

"Digging A Zheng" is a traditional excavation technique in ancient China. This guzheng was made in the whole excavation process, which is a kind of respect for trees. This guzheng should be selected from trees over 40 years old. The whole piece of paulownia should be dug inside and planed outside, and it should be dug without an inner frame. It should be sold after being naturally air-dried for at least 5 years.

Dig a piano, the sound quality is good, pure, and it smells like an ancient piano. The real name of this kind of Zheng is also very long, which can be used for 30 years or even 50 years.

Nowadays, most of the pianos are "folding pianos". This piano is a thin version, which consists of pine inner frame, lower soundboard, sandalwood/mahogany/imitation mahogany and other side ornaments and decorative materials. After baking and extrusion, the physical properties of the plate will change. The pronunciation of this Zheng is definitely not as good as that of digging it.

Of course, it doesn't mean that the piano made by digging the piano must have a good tone. It still depends on the production process.
