Application conditions for assistant Chinese medicine practitioners

There are specific requirements for applying for assistant doctors of traditional Chinese medicine in terms of specialty, education and work. It can be roughly divided into several situations: first, medical candidates with college education or technical secondary school education; Second, rural doctors who have studied traditional medicine for three years or practiced medicine for many years; Third, rural doctors who provide prevention, health care and general medical services to villagers in rural medical and health institutions. These three situations also have different requirements in application conditions.

First, the medical examination has a college degree or a technical secondary school degree.

Medical students with medical college education or secondary professional education in colleges and universities are required to come from Chinese medicine, acupuncture and massage, Dai medicine, Mongolian medicine, clinical medicine of Chinese and Western medicine, Zhuang medicine, Tibetan medicine, Uygur medicine, Kazakh medicine and other majors. They must also apply for the qualification examination of practicing assistant doctors under the guidance of practicing doctors and try for one year in medical, preventive and health care institutions. Students majoring in basic medicine, pharmacy, medical technology, forensic medicine, nursing (science), traditional Chinese medicine and other medical related majors are not allowed to apply.

Two, study traditional medicine for three years or after years of practice, with expertise.

People in this situation need to be qualified and recommended by the medical, preventive and health care institutions determined by the traditional medical professional organizations or the health administrative departments of the people's governments at or above the county level before they can apply for the qualification examination for practicing assistant doctors.

Third, rural doctors.

Rural doctors who provide villagers with prevention, health care and general medical services in rural medical and health institutions can also apply for the exam if they meet the relevant provisions of the Law on Medical Practitioners.
