The Institute of Ancient Chinese Literature was established in the College of Arts and Letters. At present, the Institute has two doctoral programs and master's programs in Classical Chinese Literature and Ancient Chinese Literature. Classical Chinese Literature is the second batch of doctoral programs in China, and was granted the right to confer doctoral degrees in 1984.
