What kind of liquor does North Korea drink

There are two types of liquors in the DPRK, namely, bottled liquors produced by distilleries (labeled with a trademark) and ordinary liquors (without a trademark). Kaesong Koryo Ginseng Wine", "Taepyeong Wine", "Inhyeong Wine", "Pyongyang Soju The "Kaesong Koryo Ginseng Wine," "Taepyeong Wine," "Inheung Wine," "Pyongyang Soju," and "Baekdu Mountain Black Bean Wine" cost about 3,000 won per bottle and are mainly used for weddings and 60th birthday banquets. "Kaesong Goryeo Ginseng Wine" is popular because it is made from the famous spring of Mangyudae, the former site of Goryeo royal palace in Kaesong city, but it is produced in many places around Kaesong due to the shortage of supply since it was exported to South Korea.

Snake wine is a famous wine that Joseon is proud of, and it is brewed with belly snakes. "Although Yangdeokju and Monsanju are local liquors, they are considered "famous liquors" because they are produced in Yangdeok and Monsan in Pyeongnam, which are famous for their good water and have been known by local cadres since the time of Japanese colonial rule. It was known and loved by the local cadres during the Japanese colonial rule.

Although there are many famous liquors, the distilleries in different parts of the country could not operate normally due to the shortage of raw materials. Most of the alcohol consumption in the DPRK relies on "moonshine" made by individuals at home. The brew is made from corn and acorns, which are common in the country. However, most of the moonshine in Hamgyeong Province is made from acorns only.
