Nakajima Park

Every winter, Nakajima Park in the center of Sapporo holds a walking ski event. All participants can rent ski equipment for free and walk around the park. Because of the low level of difficulty in walking skiing, even novices can get started quickly. Together with three or two friends, you can step on the soft snow amidst the snow-covered peaks and enjoy a distant view of the beautiful Mount Moyiwa, and see important cultural assets such as the Iris Pond and Gipyeongjeong up close.
