On A Min in Qing Dynasty
I am deeply worried about my father's death.
When Nurhachi was alive, A Min was afraid of his uncle's majesty and dared not show his dissent. Once his cousin Huang Taiji succeeded to the throne, he had no scruples. On one occasion, he actually said to Huang Taiji, "I will discuss you with Baylor. After you take the throne, let me go abroad. " A Min's request shocked Huang Taiji. Due to the unanimous opposition of Huang Taiji and Baylor, A Min's plan failed. A Min also threatened in Belury: "Who am I afraid of? What can he (referring to Huang Taiji) do to me? " These arrogant words are aimed at Huang taiji, and there are also grievances with Khan.
Go to Korea to share.
In the first year of Tiancong (1627), A Min was ordered to lead a division to Korea, which matched Wang Jing and korean king was forced to make peace. A Min's real intention to go to North Korea may be to stand on his own feet, so when King Han accepted the terms of the peace talks, he did not rush to withdraw his troops, but said to Baylor who accompanied him, "You can go back by yourself if you like. I have made up my mind to enter the capital of North Korea. I have always admired the palaces where the Ming emperors and korean king lived, and I have never had a chance to see them. Since I'm here, I must go in and have a look. " He even intends to live in North Korea for a long time and never return to China. However, his intention was unanimously opposed by other Baylor, including his own brother Zilhallang. A Min couldn't stay any longer, and he was furious. The soldiers robbed him for three days and then came back.
Have different ambitions and arrogant attitudes.
A Min is reckless and outspoken, and often spreads complaints in public places, such as: "Why am I born human?" "It is not as good as a tree on the mountain and a stone on the slope", "Even if it is cut down for firewood, or even watered by wild animals, it is better than the present situation". These words are not only complaints, but also innuendo to Huang Taiji, which shows that A Min is disgruntled and domineering. A Min also told his uncle Bei and Qi that he was beaten by Nurhachi in his dream, but was protected by a yellow snake. This obviously implies that he is the only thrill, and he has the ambition to usurp Khan's position.
Take troops to war, defeat and abandon the city.
In the third year of Tiancong (1629), in October, Huang Taiji's pro-unification army levied the Ming Dynasty and conquered the four cities of Yongping (Lulong, Hebei), Luanzhou (Luanxian, Hebei), Qian 'an and Zunhua. In March of the following year, Huang Taiji sent Min to station troops. Shortly after A Min arrived in Yongping, the Ming army fought back, and the late Jin army Lien Chan suffered heavy losses. A Min panicked and abandoned the city. Before he fled, he ordered the slaughter of all Han people in the city and washed away their property. A Min, who is usually overbearing and resentful, was defeated this time and was condemned by the whole country. Huang taiji took advantage of this and pulled out his eyesore. Among Luo Zhi's 16 charges, the first one cited by Huang taiji is: "Disdaining his father (Taizu is at this time) and wanting to keep his brother." Other felonies include "self-righteous sweat, bullying Baylor", "abandoning Yongping, killing people" and "notorious in the world". A Min should be beheaded after the King's meeting. Huang taiji ordered to avoid death, but was imprisoned. Three years later, an official of the Han Dynasty, citing A Min's "remorse, self-pity and regret", invited Huang Taiji to follow Zhou Wenwang's example, pardoned A Min, and made him make contributions to atonement. But Huang taiji didn't accept it. A Min's imprisonment objectively cleared the way for Huang Taiji to strengthen his right to sweat.
The contradictions between the two sides gradually intensified.
A Min died in prison 10 years later at the age of 55. His fate is just like his father's. In the first year of Tiancong's conquest of Korea, A Min wanted to live in Korea for a long time and become independent. Jilalang disagreed with him, but insisted on his decision before going to war with other Baylor, and went home after making peace with North Korea. Gil Harlan is 28 years old. He has made an independent judgment on right and wrong. Second, in the fourth year of Tiancong, Huang Taiji ordered A Min to lead an army to replace Girard Lang, who was guarding Yongping, but A Min suddenly asked to stay in Yongping with Girard Lang. Huang taiji declined on the grounds that Girard Lang "stayed in the local area for a long time and worked hard". Therefore, A Min was greatly dissatisfied and said to Baylor, who was seeing me off, "When Xianhan (Nurhachi) was here, he ordered my brother to come with me. Now (Huang taiji) has acceded to the throne, but he is not allowed to come with me. When I get to Yongping, I will definitely leave him with me. If he does not obey, I should shoot him with an arrow! " Baylor, who sent me away, hurried to stop him, but he became more and more angry. Finally, he simply raised his arm and said loudly, "I killed my brother myself." Who can do anything to me? " On the one hand, it shows A Min's arbitrariness; on the other hand, it shows that he has long been dissatisfied with Girard Lang. After A Min was convicted, the blue flag under his name was transferred to Girard Lang, who became one of the eight Heshuo Bayles. He also inherited A Min's huge wealth and population. Visible, A Min's conviction, not only did not hurt JiErlang, but became the biggest beneficiary. Soon, Gil Haran led his brothers and sons and nephews to swear together: "My father and brother's actions are guilty, and they deserve it. If we think that the guilty father and brother have done the right thing and have been unfaithful, we must die naturally! " This is really not a helpless move to protect himself, but a heartfelt oath, which confirms his consistent attitude. In sharp contrast to the tragic fate of his father and brother, Gil Harang was never punished during the 17 years when Huang Taiji was in power, and he was politically smooth sailing, which was rare among his peers. This may be due to his shrewdness and prudence, and of course it may also be due to the trust of his cousin Huang Taiji.
