Introduction of wrestling

Wrestling: one of the heavy athletic sports. It is an ancient athletic program in which two people wrestle unarmed, and according to certain rules, wrestle their opponents with various techniques, skills and methods.

All countries in the world have their national characteristics of wrestling forms and methods. Chinese wrestling, the former Soviet Union's sambo, Japan's judo and sumo, as well as classical jousting, freestyle jousting and so on belong to the category of wrestling. All have their own forms of wrestling and competition rules. Greece, China, Japan and Egypt and other countries in the ancient literature there are related to the text of the cut.

Wrestling in the ancient Olympic Games in 708 BC has been the competition. Currently, there are two types of international wrestling competitions, classical and freestyle, and the competitions are graded according to weight. Classical wrestling was included in the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, while freestyle wrestling was officially included in the Olympic Games in 1904.

Wrestling had no weight classifications or restrictions when it first became a modern Olympic sport. It was canceled at the second Olympics in 1900, and rejoined four years later with the addition of freestyle wrestling until the present time. the 2004 Athens Olympics saw the addition of a women's event.

Wrestling is one of the most popular sports among the Mongolian people, and it is also an essential event in the Naadam Games. In Mongolian, wrestling is known as "Bok-Bayildehu", and the wrestlers are called "Bokkei". Mongolian wrestling has its own unique costumes, rules and methods, so it is also called Mongolian wrestling. Wrestling is called "Zhaodeg" in Mongolian.

Rules

Weigh-ins

Weigh-ins are held the day before a match and last 30 minutes. One hour prior to the weigh-in will be the time for routine medical checks. Athletes must weigh the weight of the class they have registered for and will be disqualified if they fail to do so. Athletes participating in the weigh-in must be in good physical condition, have short fingernails, no moustache, no sweat, and have their hair short or combed back and tied under the direction of the referee, to be checked at the weigh-in. For all tournaments, there will be only one weigh-in per class. Wrestlers may not enter the mat with sweaty bodies; may not apply grease to their bodies; and may not wear any items that could injure their opponents, such as rings, bracelets and earrings.

Refereeing

Composition of Referee Teams In all competitions, the executive referee team for each match shall consist of the following: 1 Executive Referee 1 Field Referee 1 Side Referee. Under no circumstances will it be permitted to have two referees of the same nationality/region on the executive referee team for a match. It is strictly prohibited for a referee to officiate a match between athletes of his/her nationality/region.

Functions of the Refereeing Team

The on-court record sheet used by the Executive Referee and the Flank Referees is used to keep a comprehensive record of the scores obtained by both athletes using the maneuvers. All recorded scores and warnings must be accurate to the maximum extent possible in order to achieve consistency with the specific phase of the match. The Executive Referee and the Side Judges must sign their own record sheets. The Executive Referee shall have the ability to utilize the techniques and special skills set forth in the relevant sections of the International Referee Statutes.

The On-Court Referee shall wear a red (Red) colored sleeve on the left arm (Left Arm) and a blue (Blue) colored sleeve on the right arm (Right Arm). After an athlete has used an action, the on-court referee shall indicate the score of the action with his finger. The left hand is raised when a Red athlete scores and the right hand is raised when a Blue athlete scores. After an Athlete has performed an action, the referee on the court scores the action with his/her fingers: 1-point gesture: arm raised, hand clenched in a fist, thumbs up. Gesture for 2 points: arm raised, thumb and index finger extended. Gesture for 3 points: arm raised, thumb, forefinger and middle finger extended. For a 5-point gesture, raise your arms high and extend your palms all the way out.

Wrestling Distinctions

The basic differences between classical and freestyle wrestling are: Classical wrestling: holding an opponent below the waist, making tripping maneuvers, and actively using a move with the legs are prohibited.

Freestyle wrestling: holding the opponent's legs, doing tripping maneuvers, and actively using movements with the legs are permitted. Double underarm neck holds are prohibited in women's wrestling.

Wrestling Rules

Wrestling Procedures Weigh-in: All levels are weighed in one day prior to the competition, which lasts 30 minutes.

Drawing of Lots: Athletes weigh in and draw their own lot numbers as they leave the scales and make up their pairings on that basis.

Initial order of placement: if one or more athletes do not participate in the weigh-in or are overweight, the athletes will be re-numbered after the weigh-in on the basis of the principle of smallest to largest.

Arranging: Athletes are paired in groups according to the number of lots they have drawn. Pairings are made according to the order of the draw, e.g. 1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4, 5 vs. 6, in that order.

Elimination of the tournament: The tournament will be divided into two groups according to the number of participants and the elimination will take place until each group produces the last winner, who will compete in the final for the first and second place. With the exception of the athletes who lost to 2 finalists in the competition and competed in the Repechage for 3-8th place, the losers in the competition will be eliminated and their final positions will be ranked according to the places they have won.
