Treatment of adrenal tumors

The basic treatment methods of adrenal gland are mainly drug treatment, surgical treatment and treatment of complications, because there are many diseases of adrenal gland line, including proliferative tumors. Treatment should be carried out according to different disease states.

Surgery is the first choice for adrenal hyperplasia and tumor. If the tumor is particularly large or has adhesion with surrounding tissues, consider open surgery. At present, minimally invasive surgery is mostly used, that is, laparoscopy, and the effect is still very good.

Drug therapy is mainly aimed at the metabolic changes caused by it, such as hypokalemia and diabetes. Hypokalemia should be supplemented with potassium, and hyperglycemia should be treated with insulin and hypoglycemic agents. The main drug treatment is to control hypertension, because adrenal diseases can cause blood pressure to rise.

Malignant adrenal diseases can also be treated by radiotherapy, isotope therapy and other methods.
