How to treat tuberculosis in Chinese medicine?

Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which is called "consumption" in Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine believes that tuberculosis is caused externally by infection with the tuberculosis bug, and internally by weakness of vital energy, deficiency of qi and blood, and depletion of yin and essence.

1, infected with consumptive insects; 2, Zhengqi weakness: due to the innate quality is not strong, alcohol and sex excess, heavy injury to the spleen and kidney, depletion of essence and blood, the big disease after a long period of time after the loss of treatment or living in poverty, nutritional deficiencies can lead to qi and blood deficiency, the Zhengqi weakness to become consumptive insects invasion and the onset of the conditions. The above two causes can be mutually causal. Consumption worms are the factors of the disease, the deficiency of positive energy is the basis of the disease, and the infection of consumption worms by the deficiency of the body is the key to the formation of the disease.

Treatment:

(1) Lung yin deficiency:

Treatment: nourish yin and moisten the lung. Anti-tuberculosis and killing worms.

Prescription: Yuehua Pill plus reduction. In the formula, the northern saxifrage, asparagus, maitake nourish lung yin; Colla Corii Asini, the raw land, the cooked land nourish kidney yin; Panax ginseng to resolve blood stasis and stop bleeding; Bei Mu to resolve phlegm and stop coughing; service ling, Chinese yam, tonifying the spleen to help the lungs; the liver of the otter to fight consumption and kill worms. If Yin deficiency is more serious, add lily, bamboo and goat's milk. For cough with little phlegm and sticky, add sweet almonds. If there is blood in the phlegm, add water hyacinth, cactus, lotus root to stop bleeding by astringency, add white grass root, dandelion to stop bleeding by cooling the blood, add clam powder, fried Colla Corii Asini to nourish yin and stop bleeding. For low fever, add Radix Bupleurum Chinense, Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, Artemisia annua. Add tai ci ginseng, service ling, atractylodes macrocephala, ji nei jin, raw grain buds to benefit qi and strengthen the spleen.

(2) Yin deficiency and fire

Treatment: nourish Yin and reduce fire.

Formulas: Lily Solid Gold Soup and Gentiana Macrophyllae Tetraptera Plus Reduction. The former formula nourishes the lungs and kidneys, and is used for yin injury and yang floatation, water deficiency and lung dryness, cough with blood in the sputum, and irritable heat and dry throat. Gentiana Macrophyllum and Turtle Armor Dispersion nourishes yin and clears heat, and is used in treating lung consumption, yin deficiency, bone vapor, tidal fever and night sweating. In this formula, turtle shell and motherwort nourish yin and clear away heat; gentiana and woodruff detoxify the muscles and reduce heat; dibasic bark and artemisia clear away heat and remove vapor. Umei converges yin and stops sweating. If the lung and kidney yin deficiency is serious, add asparagus, bamboo, tortoise board, Colla Corii Asparagus, Cordyceps Sinensis to protect the lungs and nourish the kidneys. The fire is more intense add hu huanglian, scutellaria baicalensis, cypress, bitter cold diarrhea fire firm yin; phlegm and heat in the lungs, cough sputum yellow and thick discretionary addition of mulberry white bark, mother of pearl, sea clam powder, fritillaries to clear away heat and resolve phlegm. Coughing up blood with dandelion, gardenia, purple pearl grass, vinegar rhubarb, cool blood to stop bleeding; blood purple dark lumps with chest pain with panax ginseng, blood charcoal, flowers and stones, wide tulip gold and other blood stasis and stop bleeding; night sweating with umeboshi, dried peaches, dragon bone, oyster, root of ephedra, wheat convergence of yin to stop sweating; loss of voice, hoarseness with chebulbulle, phoenix clothes, walnut meat, white honey, moistening the lungs, kidneys and through the voice.

(3) Qi and yin depletion

Treatment: benefit qi and nourish yin.

Remedy: Pao Zhen Tang and Ginseng Ling Bai Zhu San with additions and subtractions. Baochen Tang is used to treat the deficiency of the three yin, qi and yin injuries, thinness and fatigue, coughing and shortness of breath, labor heat and bone vapor. In the formula, ginseng is used in the formula, as well as in the formula of ginseng, atractylodes, atractylodes, and licorice. Mainly used for treating poor appetite, abdominal distension, loose stools, floating face, fatigue, coughing and shortness of breath with much sputum and thinness. Ginseng, Polygonum multiflorum, Atractylodes macrocephala, licorice, Chinese yam, lentils, lotus meat tonify the spleen and benefit qi; Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng harmonizes the stomach and regulates qi; Semen Coicis regulates the spleen and seeps out dampness; and Rhizoma Platycodon Grandiflorum carries medicine upward. Lung injury plus Bacopa monnieri, Bletilla hyacinthis tonifies the lung and fights against consumption; cough with sputum and sparse qi plus Aster, Donghua, Suzi warms and relieves cough; with phlegm and dampness plus Chenpi, Semixia dries dampness and resolves phlegm. For coughing up blood, add Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Fructus Cervi Pantotrichum, Calcined Longmu, Panax Ginseng to take in blood. Add Gui Zhi for spontaneous sweating due to labor and fear of wind. White peony and jujube harmonize Ying and Wei with qi tonic to benefit qi and consolidate the surface. For obvious Yin injury, add turtle shell, oyster, omelette, dictyostelium, silver chaihu to replenish Yin and Yang, and clear away heat and steam; for obvious low food intake, loose stools and abdominal distension, add Gu bud, chicken internal jin, and tangerine white, sweet and light to strengthen the spleen, and avoid the use of nourishing and greasy medicines such as shengdi, Agaricus blazei, and maitong.

The Chinese medicine is slow to take effect, but go to the root.
