Positional and numerical distribution is a particularly important aspect of the sport of rugby, which is in fact a sport similar to soccer, only more varied than soccer. The football position numbers are: quarterback, punt returner, placekicker: 1-19; running back and defensive back: 20-49; center: 50-79; offensive guard and tackle: 60-79; wide receiver: 10-19 or 80-89; tight end: 80-89; defensive lineman: 50-79 or 90-99; linebacker: 50-59 or 90-99. or 90-99.
