The seventeenth day of the first month? White Tiger Festival? That's what I said that day.

The 17th day of the first month is White Tiger Festival every year. Traditionally, it was a sacrifice to the white tiger, and later it developed into a fight against villains. The villain does not turn over, the snake hits the Yangtze River, and the white tiger goes to the distant mountains to solve the stagnation of the year. Since then, the nobles have met, and the six horses have supported them. It is safe and auspicious all year round. Therefore, on this day, unlucky people can hit villains to welcome the New Year.

The Origin of White Tiger Speaking Day

After the Lantern Festival, there will be a "shocking" solar term. It is said that the tiger was the first to wake up in the forest. At this time, many animals are still in hibernation, and their vigilance is low. Tigers can easily catch prey at this time, so people call it "White Tiger Day". People are not ashamed of the tiger's "tripping while people are unprepared" behavior, thinking that it is the same as the "villain behavior" in life, so others will sacrifice to the white tiger on this day, hoping not to "sneak up on people", and later it is extended to the "villain" in life. People are very disgusted with this, so they have the custom of "beating the villain".

The process of sacrificing white tiger

Folk sacrifice to the white tiger is to paste three small pieces of raw pork, three cooked duck eggs, three small strips of raw salted fish, three small rice balls, a pair of red candles, powerful and noble paper, all the Buddhist scriptures in the sky, seven incense sticks and eight gold ingots, that is, four pairs, that is, four pairs of sworn enemies, seven incense sticks and eight gold ingots, that is, to smash the villain into pieces. I want to pay tribute to the incense burner three times. I'd like to invite Master Zhao Nian, the general squatting on the mysterious altar, and the general Tiger and Wolf. I want to ask Master Tan Xuan to give me a way to protect my body and my family, so that the villain can leave.

Simple version of the way to beat a villain

In some places, eight gold and silver paper ingots will be prepared to form four pairs, homophonic "enemy to enemy" and then seven incense sticks will be lit, and then simple chanting and sacrifice will be carried out. The moral is to beat the "villain" to pieces, which is popular in the southeast coast and Hong Kong and Macao. There are special booths, people will write the names of "little people" on paper, and then carry out so-called punishment, but remember the bottom line, "Don't do whatever you want.
