Traditional Wushu of the Seven Fist Schools
Traditional Wushu refers to the Chinese martial arts styles and schools that have been handed down to the people and passed down in an orderly manner.
How many schools of Chinese martial arts, how many routines, so far no one can say clearly. China's long history, a vast area, the regions of
the economic and cultural development between the very unbalanced, and customs and folklore are also different from each other, so the style of martial arts between the regions is often unique, not repeat each other.
Wushu is a cultural form, it is inevitably affected by regional factors, and because it is basically a pure folk culture, so it has always retained the primitive and simple style, not affected by foreign culture.
The major schools of Chinese martial arts are all derived from regional culture. We call these major schools "styles", and the first style includes a number of styles.
There are at least seven major styles of Chinese martial arts, namely Shaolin, Wudang, Emei, Nanquan, Taiji, Xingyi and Bagua. Some ethnic minorities also have their own unique martial arts, some of which cannot be included in these seven major styles. In addition, Chinese martial arts also include wrestling, which is widely spread among Han, Hui, Mongolian, Manchu and other ethnic groups, and Mongolian wrestling is even more unique. The basic rule of wrestling is that both sides should grab each other, and boxing is quite different, so it can not be included in the boxing system.
