1987 1.5, the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of China issued the "Ding Maonian" Zodiac stamp. When designing this theme full of China folk culture, the designer adopted the traditional arts and crafts of China, especially some techniques of paper-cutting and clay sculpture toys on the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi. The background color of the pattern is white, which is relatively pure. The rabbit drawn by the designer doesn't need black, except for the simple outline, it gradually grays out, highlighting the soft and white rabbit body. Designers draw lessons from the performance of paper-cutting as a decorative factor, and use red and green products to enhance the freshness.
