This used to be the capital of mercury. It is one of the earliest special zones in China. It is now classified as Wanshan District of tongren city. There are more than 20 kinds of proven mineral resources in the whole region, such as mercury, manganese, potassium, phosphorus and barite, among which mercury mining has a history of more than 630 years, making Wanshan the world-famous "Mercury Capital of China". In recent years, the development and utilization of mercury ore has been transferred to deep processing. The main products are cinnabar, cinnabar, bromomercuric chloride, coal-contact mercury, mercuric chloride, iron amalgam and so on. It has won many national awards and become an export inspection-free product, which sells well in more than 40 countries and regions. Manganese ore covers an area of 25 square kilometers, with a preliminary proven reserve of 5 million tons, and its mining value is considerable.
