Introduction of Blower in Fengxian Sugar Factory
Blowing sugar in Fengxian is an ancient traditional handicraft skill of Han nationality. According to legend, there were sugar blowers before the Tang Dynasty, which spread in the Central Plains and Northwest China in the early days. Fengxian was introduced from the northwest in Qing Dynasty. The sugar blower in Fengxian takes syrup (caramel) as the main raw material. Before blowing sugar, melt the syrup with warm fire. The manufacturing method is mainly mouth blowing and hand kneading, supplemented by die printing. Can be blown into various figures, animals, plant fruits, daily necessities and various toy models that children like.
