What kind of movie is CCTV's family education title "Mirror"?
The Mirror is China's first real-life movie that explores emotional family education in depth. The movie tells a story about the homecoming of the heart. Three families are in trouble because their children have dropped out of school. The parents have no choice but to send their children to a special school to be "reformed", but accidentally let themselves receive an enlightenment that touches their souls.
The film takes the issue of intergenerational emotions as its starting point, and presents sociological samples of three families through objective and calm documentation, re-examining the emotional problems faced by Chinese families in today's era, such as parent-child and intimate relationships, from the new perspective of the lack of emotional education. Children are a mirror of the family, and the family is a mirror of society.
Zhong Xiaolin, a lecturer in family emotional education at the School of Elementary Education at Capital Normal University, believes that "if you think about a theme like love in terms of relationships, it can jump out of the family, and the movie is definitely not just for parents to see, but for educators, including cultural workers engaged in education-related work, who all need to see this movie. Because the relationship is an open one, including the teacher's treatment of children, including the leader's treatment of staff, can be refracted from this. I think it can make our whole society reflect on the theme of love and care."
Chang Jianjun, director of the minors' work department of the Capital Civilization Office, commented at an event where "Mirror" came into the Capital Normal University that the film "Mirror" reflects real social reality, a big issue concerning children's growth, family harmony and social stability. The airing of this movie will surely arouse widespread concern in the society and make the whole society pay more attention to the healthy growth of minors. It should be well distributed and publicized, and widely broadcast in schools, women's associations and parents to expand its influence.
CCTV's Society and Law Channel (CCTV-12) will broadcast the three-episode TV version of the documentary "Mirror" from April 19 to 21, 2017 at 20:07 every night. Meanwhile, the documentary "Mirror" will have its online premiere through CCTV.com on April 19, 2017 at 12:00 noon, and will be broadcast in segments between the 19th and 21st.
