Steps for proofreading timing belt of Chevrolet Letv engine

Disassembly procedure of timing belt of Lecheng automobile engine: 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the air temperature sensor connector. 3. Disconnect the intake pipe from the throttle body. 4. Disconnect the breather pipe from the valve cover. 5. Remove the air cleaner housing bolt. 6. Remove the air cleaner housing. 7. Remove the right front wheel. 8. Remove the fender of the right front wheel. 9. Remove the engine accessory drive belt and remember the winding path of the engine accessory drive belt, as shown in Figure 2-2- 1. 10. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt. 1 1. As shown in Figure 2-2-2, remove the crankshaft pulley. 12. As shown in Figure 2-2-3, remove the front upper timing belt cover bolt. 13. Remove the front upper timing belt cover. 14. As shown in Figure 2-2-3, remove the front lower timing belt cover bolt. 15. Remove the front lower timing belt cover. 16. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolt (if equipped). Install the crankshaft pulley bolt. 18. Turn the crankshaft clockwise with the crankshaft pulley bolt until the timing mark on the crankshaft gear is aligned with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover, as shown in Figure 2-2-4. 19. Loosen the fixing bolt of the coolant pump slightly. 20. As shown in Figure 2-2-5, use the timing belt regulator (special toolNo.: J42492-A) to turn the coolant pump counterclockwise to release the tension on the timing belt. 2 1. As shown in Figure 2-2-6, remove the timing belt from the rear of the power steering pump. Installation and calibration steps of timing belt of Lecheng automobile engine: 1. Align the timing mark on the crankshaft gear with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover, as shown in Figure 2-2-4. 2. As shown in Figure 2-2-7, align the timing mark on the camshaft gear. 3. Install the timing belt. 4. Use the timing belt adjuster (special toolNo.: J42492-A) to move the coolant pump clockwise. 5. Turn the coolant pump clockwise until the adjusting arm of the timing belt automatic tensioner. Align the upper pointer with the notch on the bracket of the timing belt automatic tensioner, as shown in Figure 2-2-8. 6. Tighten the fixing bolts of the coolant pump. 7. Turn the crankshaft twice clockwise with the crankshaft pulley bolt. 8. Loosen the fixing bolt of the coolant pump. 9. Turn the coolant pump until the pointer on the adjusting arm of the timing belt automatic tensioner is aligned with the pointer on the bracket of the timing belt automatic tensioner, as shown in Figure 2-2-9. 10. Tighten the fixing bolt of the coolant pump to 10Nm. 1 1. Remove the crankshaft pulley bolt. 12. Install the front upper and lower timing belt cover. 13. Install the front upper and lower timing belt cover bolts. Tighten the front upper and lower timing belt cover bolts to 10 [newtonm]. 14. Install crankshaft pulley. Install the crankshaft pulley bolt. Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to 95Nm with a torque wrench, then tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt 30, and finally add 15. 16. Refer to Figure 2-2- 1, install the accessory drive belt and ensure that the winding path is correct. 17. Install the right fender. Install the right front wheel. 19. Install the air cleaner housing. 20. Install the air cleaner housing bolts. Tighten the air cleaner housing bolts to 8 Nm. 2 1. Connect the intake pipe to the throttle body. 22. Connect the breather pipe to the throttle body. 23. Connect the air temperature sensor connector. 24. Connect the negative battery cable.
