Taijiquan 8 style, 16 style, 24 style, 48 style and 56 style, 83 style, what is the difference?
The 8 and 16 styles are not known; but I have looked them up; they seem to be the routines of one and two sections of the martial arts (which are based on Yang's changes) that have been divided into sections by the martial arts rank system. It's not interesting, too organized.
48-style taijiquan is the former National Sports Commission, Wushu Research Institute in 1979 to organize the creation of taijiquan routines, is based on Yang's adaptation of the popularity of the routines.
The 24-Style Taijiquan, also called Simplified Taijiquan, was organized by the State Physical Culture Commission (now the State General Administration of Sports) in 1956, and was compiled by Taijiquan experts from the essence of Yang-style Taijiquan. Although it has only 24 movements, it is more concise and standardized than the traditional Taijiquan routines, and fully reflects the characteristics of Taijiquan.
The 56-style is a competition routine created by the National Sports Commission based on Chen's Laojia I and II Luquan.
The 83 style is a new style created by Chen Fake (Chen Changxing's great-grandson) based on Chen's old style. Personally believe that the 83 style is the most difficult and most effective; without a few years of foundation is very difficult to smooth and coherent once from start to finish down this set; of course, Chen Fake created a new frame of the two-way cannon hammer is more difficult to bounce more force fierce; more difficult in the 83 style above. If the above is the basic boxing; this new frame should really cultivate the power of boxing.
