Brief introduction of Ganling:
Located in Liangshan, Ganxian County, 85km west of Xi 'an, Ganling is the burial tomb of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi and Wu Zetian. Taking the mountain as the tomb, it is a conical tomb with an altitude of 1049 meters. It is one of the representative tombs in the Tang Dynasty, covering an area of 2.4 million square meters. In that year, 378 palaces and pavilions were built, all of which were destroyed by the war, leaving only stone tablets. There are two pairs of flying horses and ostriches, five pairs of stone horses, ten pairs of generals and stone men, a tablet without words and a tablet of "Syria's Holy Monument". Exploration shows that the total area of the inner city is 2.4 million square meters. There are Zhuquemen in the south, Xuanwu Gate in the north, Qinglong Gate in the east and Baihumen in the west. There are 537 steps on the stone step road in Toumen, Ganling, with a height difference of 81.68m.. After walking the steps, there is a broad road leading to the Tang Gaozong Mausoleum Monument, which is Sima Dao. In the history of China, the number, types and placement of stone carvings in front of the mausoleum began to have a fixed system, which continued until the Qing Dynasty. There are 17 tombs in Ganling. There are Prince's Tomb II (Prince Li Zhongrun, Prince Yide), Prince's Tomb III (Wang, Xu and Wang Shouli), Princess's Tomb IV (Princess Yiyang, Princess Xindu, Princess Anxing and Princess Yongtai) and Minister's Tomb VIII (Wang Jishan, Xue, Yang Zai Si, Liu, Dou Wang, Liu Guiren, Li Jinxing, etc.).
