What are the musical characteristics of the Dai people?
Dai folk songs mostly adopt pentatonic scale, and there are few voices outside pentatonic scale. There are three kinds of modal backbone frames composed of three-tone series. They are [[Domsol]], and the ending is Gong Yin or Andrew; [[Radomie]], the ending is a public sound, an angular sound or a feather sound; [[SolDoRe]], the ending sound is a business sound or a logo sound. There are also some Dai folk songs that use the [[Solado]] modal backbone framework.
