Is proclaiming traditional culture retro?

Promoting traditional culture is not 'retro', what we lack today is traditional culture.

Simple example: listen to a song, immediately be able to hear is India, Japan, North Korea, the United States and so on. I can't hear the Chinese flavor of the song!

I wonder why in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, there is a strong Chinese flavor, the mainland does not?
