"Sakura" (Japanese: さくらさくら) is a traditional Japanese folk song describing the beautiful scenery in spring, which was created at the end of Edo for children to learn Japanese zither. Spring is the season when cherry blossoms bloom. This tune is a Japanese minor, with only five sounds of do, mi, fa, la and si. Cherry Blossom is often adapted into instrumental music in the form of duet, chorus, solo and ensemble.
