What are the languages of painting art?
This is the most basic expression in painting language. It simply and naturally reproduces life and conveys thoughts and feelings.
Yellow flower-and-bird painting in the Five Dynasties is a typical realistic language, which depicts the spirit in form and has a touching taste.
2. Exaggerated painting language.
It plays a special role in expressing the painter's unique feelings, strong passion, beautiful ideals or fantasies.
For example, the cartoonist Zhang Leping's "San Mao" uses this obviously exaggerated painting language to express malnourished street children: the scarcity of hair becomes "San Mao". In China's traditional folk paintings, the description of monsters is always "green fangs" and "big mouth", while the description of ancient beauties is "phoenix eye", "willow eyebrows" and "cherry mouth".
3. Symbolic (i.e. tortuous metaphorical) painting language.
It is not a positive expression of the objects, thoughts and emotions that the author wants to express in his works, but a circuitous expression, sometimes even borrowing other abstract metaphors.
These three methods of expression have their own characteristics, and proper application will help to create a more expressive artistic image, thus deepening the connotation of painting. Otherwise, it will lose its value.
Extended data:
Painting language is an organic combination of skill, form and content. The depth and breadth of painting language is the standard to test the artist's artistic level. In this sense, the different use of painting language produces different painting styles.
When painting evokes human aesthetic feelings, it is the unique language form of painting that acts on people. Painting language consists of many elements, among which the visual factors involved are: point, line, shape, light and color.
1, point
It is the smallest visual entity and a good place to start discussing the function of visual form. An opinion can be explicit or implicit. It can form a point, just like the sound in a quiet room, and form a relationship with the surroundings to make this space come alive.
2. Lines
A line can be described as the trajectory of a point. It is the visual track of action, and a line represents the spirit of the person or thing being crossed. The brushstrokes of a painting, a winding river crossing the landscape, the jagged edges of torn lines and the curve of a blade of grass are all unique, just like the lines full of personality and expressiveness of every painter or calligrapher.
3, shape,
Shape is about an existing form that is regarded as a plane, that is, a two-dimensional space area or plane, which is an appearance in the form of silhouette or shadow. When a line outlines an area or when the surface color or muscle mass of an area changes, its area is separated from the surrounding area, forming a visible existence.
