What is handmade?

Humanoid, also often referred to as handmade or human figures, refers to modern collectible human models, and may also refer to models of cars, buildings, videos, plants, insects, paleontology or fantasy things. However, according to the Japanese Wikipedia entry "フィギュァ" [1], the word "フィギュァ" means human form in the modeling circle. At first, it was only used for character models attached to railway models or military models. But later, the trend named "フィギュ" expanded the character model in eating and playing, and later extended to the mini models of all specific characters, which may also refer to models of cars, buildings, videos, plants, insects, paleontology or fantasy things. Thus, the translation of human form is more appropriate.
